A Study & Discussion Guide in Six Sessions for Pastors, Group Leaders & Emerging Elders

by Jordan Elder · Redeemer Network & Ministry That Matters

Healthy churches are centered on the gospel and organized around God’s mission. Yet so many churches want to “grow,” to “reach people,” to “impact the community,” without being clear on the gospel itself, and I’ve become convinced that the church is in a fog missionally because it is in a fog on the gospel. Growing in Gospel Centrality is a free six-session guide to help church leaders get clear on the gospel, believe it more deeply, and keep coming back to it.

It’s written for lay leaders in the church and the pastors who equip them. You should be able to hand it to a small group leader, an emerging elder, or a team of pastors and have it walk them through six conversations about the gospel. Inside you’ll find:

• Six sessions: Clearing the Fog, The Gospel Story, The Gospel Up Close, The Gospel in 3D, Two Thieves, and A Gospel-Centered Church
• A two-to-three page teaching for each session, rooted in Scripture
• Discussion questions, a weekly practice, and a prayer prompt for every session
• An appendix of historic gospel summaries, including the Apostles’ Creed
• Recommended reading, including Tim Keller’s “The Centrality of the Gospel”
